Faith Action Development Organisation – Teso (FADO–T) is an indigenous Christian non-denominational NGO operating in Ngora district. It was registered in 2005 by the National NGO Board of Uganda as a Charity. It is an initiative by local evangelical Christians for positive action to address the abject poverty afflicting rural communities in the Teso sub-region, with its initial activities confined to communities in Ngora district as it builds its capacity and resources to reach other districts in the sub-region. Its headquarters is located in Ngora Complex.

“To facilitate the empowerment of rural communities towards socio-economic and spiritual well-being for sustainable Transformational Development."
FADO-T Main Objectives
1. To facilitate and promote sustainable and desirable Community Development through empowerment of communities as whole entities to become sustainable and capable of robust response to disasters and of caring for the most vulnerable thus establish community Shalom.
2. To guide empowerment of individuals by addressing personal whole needs for productive engagement in the context of empowerment of their communities.
3. To employ a balanced view of humanity in development which recognises both the positive strengths & talents of every individual (with a God-given human dignity as made in the image of God), to be respected, nurtured, appreciated and valued as both participator & contributor; as well as the reality of weaknesses of sinful human nature that are to be attenuated, for the building of a robust socio-cultural fabric to under gird positive transformation.
4. To apply biblical ethics and principles to guide an all inclusive development process through inculcation and promotion of pro-development practices, attitudes, and values like good neighbourliness & communal solidarity, justice in all relationships, equity and equal opportunity for all; integrity, truth, respect and cultivation and fostering a God-given human vocation of stewardship in the proper management (distribution and sharing) of God-given resources.
Our Programmes
FADO-T in its Christian Holistic Approach is fighting rural poverty with communities by integrating activities which, fall into four major areas namely:
- Health
- Education
- Agriculture & Rural Intensification (spelling HEART - Capturing God's Heart for the Poor)
- Christian Outreach Programme (spelling COP - Christian Ethics guiding actions as Cops)
Underpinning FADO-T's operations is Jesus' own Mission that He “came to seek and save the Lost”
