The tree project is is a response to what the Picture here is clearly showing of degradation of environment. Other pictures show indiscriminate cutting of trees (for burning bricks & charcoal, for timber and firewood), without replacement which is the main contributor to damaged environment and the setting in of arid conditions as the picture depicts.

Tree planting is therefore one of the urgent activities we try to encourage.

Challenges include lack of guidance from government evironmental extension workers who should provide seeds and advice on fast growing species of trees since the rainfall has become unreliable and of short duration.
